I’ve decided I’m bringing enough to Blade Show so I stopped and made a damasteel blade for the @sergeknives collaboration.
The first blade I made for it was a full hand rubbed version. All the satin bits helped it look like it belonged but it kinda looked like chrome rims on a mad max car. So i acid etched / tumbled it. I thought it fit much better.
It just didn’t seem like enough for this knife. I figured a distressed damasteel blade is the best if both worlds and now I feel@much more satisfied with this. What do you think? Good choice?

Working on some contoured versions of the 3.75” Aspirated Arch Nemesis. Man, these feel great in hand. It has the contour of the original Arch Nemesis with the single screw backspacer and the newer pivot of the latest versions.
The weight difference is pretty drastic. Yes, the inlayed version shown is zirc inlayed so its heavier than the standard inlayed versions right off the bat but that all I have to compare it to at the moment. The zirc inlayed version is at 6.6oz with the aspirated version coming in at 4.6

Credit Cards …well, they are frowned upon. David Gilmour knows what i’m looking for!

Carrying a 50lb box, and jamming your knuckle into a blade left on the hand sanding fixture hurts. Don’t do this!
It could have been a-lot worse. The tip went in and tore out being it wasn’t sharp. I don’t know if that helped or hurt the situation….either way, i knew it wasn’t good. When it hit, i knew exactly what happened. I carried the box to its resting place while feeling the blood dripping off my hand. There wasn’t that much blood so I was hoping it wasn’t as bad as I thought. When i looked at it for the first time my hand was clenched which opened it way up. Seeing your own tendons and inner workings is a little unsettling. It was a spot where glueing it was probably going to have it opening and healing back and forth for the next month so stitches it is.
Needless to say the next week, hand sanding will be at a minimum. 🤘🏼
